Required documents for travel to Kenya
:
- Passport
- Visa

Information & Resources:
- Passport information
- Visa Processing Service - we have used VIP Services
- Kenya Consular Sheet & Travel Advisory
- Malaria tablets and immunization for yellow fever, polio, typhoid, and hepatitis A are recommended
- Travel Insurance may be purchased for a nominal fee

Suggested Items to bring:
- Copies of passport, visas, plane tickets, and 2 additional passport photos (leave a set of these documents with family/friends too)
- Travel insurance papers
- Traveler's immunization card
- Extra Spending Money - $200 suggested (travelers cheques are not readily accepted in Western Kenya, but may be exchanged for Kenyan Shillings for a fee and with lengthy waits at local exchange stations) *carry in safe place on your body in special travel pouch
- Mosquito net
- Day pack with flashlight, sunglasses, toothbrush, DEET insect repellent, extra t-shirt, undies, personal medicines, camera & film, Kenyan travel guide
Remember – take ONLY one credit card, ID, insurance card, and frequent flyer card – you do not need extra cards to be lost or stolen.  Put a copy of your passport photo page and Visa page in each duffel/suitcase and your day pack. No knives, clippers, lighters, and such in carry on bag.

Expenses:
Airfare – Varies depending of time of purchase from $1650 to $2500 (rough estimate for round trips to Nairobi and Kisumu)
Passport - $97 (additional $60 if expedited)
Kenya Visa - $108 (varies with visa service used – additional expedited charges apply
Accommodations, food and transportation, mission health insurance and safari while in Kenya-$2000 – varies on length of stay

Deadlines for Payment

March 15, 2010         $250 non-refundable deposit
April 15, 2010            50% due
May 3, 2010              Total balance due
