Volunteering with Maisha International U.S. based office
Looking for a great place to volunteer? Become a Maisha International volunteer today and support our U.S.-based office staff as we make a difference in the lives of orphans, women and communities throughout the Kenya. Maisha International volunteers are ambassadors, event-planners, local community fundraisers, outreach representatives and provide departmental administrative and technical support. Maisha International volunteers assist our U.S.-based office team members with annual opportunities such as our Light the Future (an annual gala held once a year in Oklahoma, yearly Mission Trip to Kenya and other events like women helping women in Africa program events.
On a monthly basis, volunteers provide administrative and technical support to our marketing and communications and resource development departments with data entry, donor mailings, corporate outreach mailings, event promotions, donor appreciation and much more. The majority of our volunteer opportunities are located in Oklahoma.
All volunteer opportunities are non-paid.

Interning with Maisha International U.S Based office
Maisha International orphanage offers several internship opportunities to undergraduate and graduate level college students to support our U.S.-based office team members during the fall, spring and summer semesters. Interns are responsible for assisting with the weekly and monthly needs of our organization. Interns are ambassadors, event-planners, fundraisers, grant-writers, outreach representatives, researchers, translators and much more. The majority of our internship opportunities are located in Oklahoma to support our headquarters’ staff.
All intern opportunities are non-paid.
